Once in Venice, St. Marks Basilica is hard to miss and trust me, you don’t want to. St. Marks Basilica was built several hundred years ago and has become a tourist attraction as well as a place that locals go to find peace. St. Marks Basilica is known for its gothic architecture which features numerous columns, arches and spires which help support the churches’ 5 domes. Although this alone seems beautiful, the true beauty lies in the golden mosaics that line the walls of the church.
